Woven Earth Difference

Every Woven Earth product is made with our hand-pressed hemp extract, which is a full-spectrum hemp oil (<0.3% THC). This means it contains CBD and other cannabinoids like CBG and CBC, plus terpenes, flavonoids, chlorophyll, vitamins and minerals naturally occurring in the hemp flower.

Our Daily Hemp oil 400mg bottle contains 400mg of CBD in 30ml of oil. One full dropper (1ml) = 13.3mg of CBD.
Our Daily Hemp capsules 600mg jar contains 600mg of CBD in 30 capsules. One capsule = 20mg of CBD.
Our Sleep Hemp capsules 450mg jar contains 450mg of CBD in 30 capsules. One capsule = 15mg of CBD.
Our Joint Hemp capsules 450mg jar contains 450mg of CBD in 30 capsules. One capsule = 15mg of CBD.
Our Relief Cream 850mg tube contains 850mg.

The bioavailability of the drops is much higher than a capsule. When taken under the tongue, more CBD is introduced to your body's circulatory system and in a more direct, faster way. The capsules have to go through your digestive tract (30 to 45 minutes) and they also have to pass through your liver, so you lose some bioavailability in the process.

When we say "whole plant" infusion, we are referring to the "whole" properties of the cannabis flower and its sugar leaves. When we strip the hemp after its drying phase, we are leaving behind the roots and main stalks (though the stalks do in fact have trace amounts of cannabinoids, the flower (bud) and leaves have the most). "Whole plant" refers to all the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, etc. of the cannabis flower which helps preserve the integrity of the plant. We also use coconut oil as the carrier allowing our CBD to be readily absorbed sublingually and topically.

The lipid infusion process is natural and gentle, resulting in a nutrient-packed, full-spectrum hemp oil. Unlike other manufacturers that use chemical solvents or extreme pressure, our lipid infusion keeps the hemp plant in its natural state. Using low heat and pressure, all of the components of the plant are infused into coconut oil. The process preserves the natural cellular bonds of the plant and increases the phytonutrient content. Our hemp oil contains a number of different cannabinoids (predominantly CBD, CBDA, CBC, CBG and < 0.3% THC) as well as vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, protein, fiber, flavonoids, terpenes, chlorophyll and other plant waxes. The combination of all of these compounds working together is known as the entourage effect.

Our hemp plants are naturally sourced from North Carolina farmers without pesticides or chemicals. These whole plants are infused into organic coconut oil (without the use of high pressure or chemical solvents) to create the full-spectrum hemp oil used in all of our products. It contains an array of cannabinoids, vitamins, minerals, protein, chlorophyll and other beneficial components of the hemp plant, synergistically working together to improve overall wellness.

Understanding CBD

CBD (cannabidiol) is a natural compound (a phytocannabinoid) found in the hemp flower that is valued for its therapeutic benefits.

No. While hemp and marijuana are both members of the cannabis family, hemp naturally contains less than 0.3% THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the compound associated with marijuana’s cerebral effect or what makes someone feel high after use.

CBD is a natural compound found in the hemp flower, which is derived from the cannabis sativa plant.

Each dropper of our hemp tincture is ~1ml and there are 30ml in the tinctures. The suggested use is holding one full dropper of tincture under the tongue for 30 to 60 seconds before swallowing. We recommend under your tongue because the tissue in your mouth allows for more absorption than if swallowed directly. You may take additional drops as needed, but the best rule of thumb is to start low and slow. Drops can also be added to beverages or used topically by massaging the oil directly onto an affected area of the body.

Dosage is very distinct to each person. We encourage you to consult your physician about the interaction of CBD with other medications.

Dosing is more of an art than a science, and it takes time to get a good grasp on how much CBD your body needs. We recommend starting low & slow. Start with 1 pill for a week & increase your dosage to 2 pills if you don't feel the effect. The goal is to find your sweet spot, or the level where you can take as little CBD as possible each day to reach your desired outcome. Everyone’s sweet spot is different, and what works for one person might not work for another.

CBD has proven effective at treating aches and pains for a variety of reasons. Medical research revealed that CBD offers therapeutic benefits to reduce inflammation and the associated pain and is particularly effective at treating acute inflammation, which often occurs after an injury. Additionally, CBD has ant-ifungal and antibacterial properties that can soothe the sting of a cut or breaking of skin. CBD oil can be used under the tongue or applied topically directly to the area of soreness. For more on using CBD oil for pain, check our “Five Reasons Why CBD is Great for Pain Relief” on our blog.

While we are not in a position to answer medical questions, we've had wonderful feedback from customers about our Woven Earth Sleep Capsule. Taking one capsule before bed has helped them calm their mind and relax their body to fall asleep faster and stay asleep. We would encourage you to consult your physician regarding your personal concerns and treatment for insomnia.

It's possible. CBD is the primary cannabinoid in the full-spectrum hemp extract used in all Woven Earth products, in addition to trace amounts of other cannabinoids including THC, CBC, CBG. Although the THC present in our hemp extract is very low (below 0.3%, as required by federal law), our full-spectrum products would not be recommended for anyone who has to pass a drug screen for THC.

Nope! The hemp flower used in our extracts contains little (<0.3%) to no THC, by law.

Our CBD drops work for your pets just like it works for you. A number of our staff give their dogs CBD every morning when they take theirs. Each dropper is ~1ml and there are 30ml in the tinctures.

The actual dose depends on size of the dog. 2mg is good for a small dog. 5-10mg is good for mid/larger dogs.

Our Certifications

Yep! All our hemp extract is certified USDA Organic.

For now, only those pesticides the EPA considers “minimum risk pesticides” are eligible for use on industrial hemp in North Carolina. They must also be registered in our state, specifically labeled for application to industrial hemp, or labeled broadly enough that industrial hemp can be considered covered by the label.

We cannot speak to what was used on the land prior to our hemp being grown in 2017, but since then, we have only been using OMRI listed organic pesticides.

Yes, all of our products have been third-party tested to ensure quality and potency. Our premium hemp provider, Open Book Extracts, does full panel testing on all inventory purchased and produced. We also have Certificates of Analysis (COA's) for cannabinoid profiles for each product, as well as for pesticides, residual solvents and microbials. Every retail product also includes a QR code that allows you to trace your product and to find batch, potency and expiration information.

Everything in our processing facility is produced in a controlled cGMP environment, with consistency achieved in every batch.

cGMP stands for “Current Good Manufacturing Practices.” Achieving cGMP certification is an indication that the manufacturer upholds the highest standards and processes and is worthy of being trusted by the consumer. You’ll be happy to know that our manufacturer, Open Book Extracts, is cGMP certified.
